When I had to read the article throughout the semester we had to make sure we took annotations in the proper way and then show them in blog posts. We were able to make different connections while making annotations, such as text to text where you make connections from one source of information to another. Text to self connection where you make a connection from the text to yourself or an experience you have had. The last one was text to world connection where you take something from the text and connect it to a real world event that happened in the past or recently. For me personally I would try to find areas in the text that I didn’t really know and mark it and ask questions on the side so when I would write papers I could go back and find more information to put into my writing. I would be able to find more text to self and text to world connections easier and as we read more articles throughout the semester I would find more text to text connections. During the start of the semester I definitely had a harder time making strong connections and turning in good annotations was more difficult because sometimes I would highlight random parts but as we kept doing it I was able to better understand how to make good annotations.
